Duane Harris has been a music educator for over 30 years.  He holds a Bachelor's degree in vocal performance and a Master's degree in theory/composition.  His high school choirs won national recognition while he was in New Mexico and performed the Brahms Requiem with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Austria.  The International Choir at Wayland University in Plainview, Texas, under the direction of Mr. Harris, distinguished themselves at guest performances in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Zurich, Switzerland, and Vienna, Austria.  His Community Choral in Neosho, Missouri, sponsored by Crowder College, was honored when it received an invitation to perform the Mozart Requiem in Carnegie Hall in 1990.

He currently teaches music education, studio voice, and piano, and conducts the  Concert Choir at Drury University.
