Natalie Wlodarczyk is a board certified music therapist whose primary areas of clinical expertise are music therapy in hospice and bereavement. She also has experience in Alzheimer’s care, intergenerational programming, and is certified in providing Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) music therapy for premature infants. Prior to her doctoral work, Dr. Wlodarczyk was the music therapy clinical training director at Big Bend Hospice in Tallahassee, Florida where she had extensive experience training music therapy interns and supervising university practicum students. She has presented at both national and regional conferences on a variety of topics and has published articles in the Journal of Music Therapy and the Journal of Poetry Therapy. Dr. Wlodarczyk currently serves on the Exam Committee for the Certification Board for Music Therapists. Her research interests include music therapy students’ acquisition of guitar skills, stylistic singing and playing, music and spirituality in hospice care, and music therapy interventions for disenfranchised grievers.
